Frenship High Students Well Ahead of Texas on ACT Test

Frenship_seal_blueA new report released by the ACT shows that Frenship High School students who took the ACT test during the past year surpassed the state of Texas in all areas including composite score, all sub-section scores, and all categories indicating readiness for college level coursework.

Here are the achievements reached by Frenship High School students who took the ACT last year:

-FHS students who took the ACT last school year scored an average score of 22.4 on the test, almost two points higher than the state average of 20.6.

-FHS students scored higher than the state average in all four of the ACT’s sub-sections (English, Math, Reading, Science).

-FHS student scores in those sub-sections were: English 21.8, Math 21.7, Reading 23.3, and Science 22.3.

-FHS students scored above the state average on Expectation of College Readiness in all four of the college level content areas tested.

-FHS students scored 19 percent higher than the state in College English Composition and 16 percent higher in College Social Science.

According to the release, the ACT report reflects the achievement of graduates on the ACT over time and is an indication of the extent to which they are prepared for college-level work.
