
Tiger Hoops Split with Odessa Permian
The Frenship girls built a 23-0 lead after the first quarter and led 37-1 at halftime on their way to a 65-20 blowout of Odessa Permian Friday night at the Tiger Pit.
Cassandra Awatt and Abre Godfrey each had 12 points to lead the way for the FHS.
The win keeps the Tigers undefeated in District 2-6A play at 3-0.
The Frenship boys opened district with a tough 73-57 setback to the district-favorite Panthers. Sophomore Calaway Dykes led the Tigers with 25 points. Noble Robinson chipped in 13.
Both teams travel to Tascosa on Tuesday. The girls tip at 6:00 p.m. and the boys follow at 7:30.
