Tiger Soccer Continues Winning Ways

Both the Frenship boys and girls soccer teams continue to rack up the wins on the soccer pitch.

The FHS girls added another gold trophy to the case last week after wrapping up the District 2-6A champions with identical 5-1 victories over both Midland Lee and Midland High.

Last Tuesday, the Tigers fell behind to Midland High 1-0 at halftime before exploding for five second half goals to win. Brogan Ross had two goals while Kyler Carrasco, Katelyn Heise and Madelyn Hoel each added a goal as well. Natalie Jones had three assists. FHS then matched the 5-1 victory on Friday versus Midland Lee.

The girls are 19-2-1 and 9-0 in district. Their next match is Tuesday night, also Senior Night, when they host Tascosa.

The Frenship boys are closing in on a chance at the district championship as well after a 2-1 win against Midland High and a 3-1 victory versus Lee.

Their overall record 21-2-0 and 7-2 in district. District champion confirmation on Tuesday. Their next match is also versus Tascosa and serves as Senior Night.
